More than a design editor, Petite Friture is a generous and free state of mind
Design producers are the cornerstone of the relationship between designers, manufacturers and clients; they push design to new realms, composing unique collections to be manufactured by industrial partners that share in the same sensitivity for demanding design. Constant interaction that brings each project to life and is essential at every link along the chain: select, manufacture, and market.
Petite Friture has forged unique bonds with each designer (roughly 40 over the 10 years). Each year sees 10 to 15 new creations; the difficulty is in maintaining a consistent editorial line while constantly pushing boundaries. Manufacturers are essential in overcoming technical challenges and finding smart ways to take one-off pieces and make them reproducible. Over the past 10 years, Petite Friture staff have come to form a family that is now 30 strong.
